4 days ago we were in Cozumel and had Ayelen take us out snorkeling. My teens (19, 15 and 14) had never been snorkeling before. My husband has snorkeled in Australia and Hawaii and I don’t care for snorkeling (at least I didn’t care for it until we got to H20). I’ve tried it in Jamaica and Hawaii and just don’t like the claustrophobic feeling of it. Anyways, David drove us out and Ayelen was our guide. They did a fabulous job!!! My kids were immediately in love with it. My husband loved it as always and the shocker is, Ayelen convinced me to try it. I did and I really enjoyed it! Ayelen did such a good job describing where we were going and what we would be seeing a each of the locations we snorkeled at. We did the private tour and snorkeled at 4 different locations. We had the option to hang out at the beach for a while, but who wants to do that when you could be in the water snorkeling? We were also fed after each location with fruit, muffins and cookies. I highly recommend this company to anyone looking for a snorkeling adventure. When we compared stories after getting back on the cruise ship with others, I am so thankful we went through this company rather than the cruise ship offers.

We made arrangements far in advance for this snorkel trip. We took a taxi from the cruise port for $8 + tip each way to the dock. Loes & Miguel arrived on time. We were 6 snorkeled & 4 scuba divers. Miguel handled the divers while Loes stayed with us. We snorkeled at 4 fabulous sights. Loes kept a look out for fish & turtles, pointing them out to us. She was a great guide. We were served water & delicious fresh fruit, as well as cake baked by Loes. I strongly suggest that you avoid cruise shore excursions and book with CozumelH2O for a very personal tour.

Luz was amazing. – we had our cruise ship change arrival time on us and she was able to make the changes to accommodate us with no problems. Luz was very confident and Knowledgeable. One thing that makes these folks stand out is that if you have divers and snorkelers in the same party, they can still go on the same boat and share the experience. Also, this was the first snorkeling trip that we took where it was us said “enough” – we were tired. Luz was more than happy to take us to one or 2 more places. Guess we’re lightweights.
The snorkeling was beautiful and Luz was with us every step of the way – Highly recommended!

I have never been diving before, so I was not sure what to expect. The entire crew was more than friendly and helpful. Miguel gave us instructions on the boat ride over. He was very clear and concise. Once it was time to get into the water, I was extremely comfortable and excited. We did a two dive trip, plus a quick intro dive to prove we learned the instructions on the boat ride. Once our test was over, I was ready to go! I cannot thank Miguel and the H2O team enough. I have no doubt I’ll be back to Cozumel, and I’m 100% certain I’ll be going to Cozumel H2O. Highly recommend!!!

Great trip from booking to finish.
Chose CozumelH2O based on reviews and that they could match our port schedule and diverse group interests. Was not aware that would be a major decision criteria when I first started looking for a shore excursion.
There were 7 of us. 3 snorkelers, 3 learn to scuba, and one certified diver. We were joined by two other snorkelers. CozumelH20 was able to bring this diverse group on a single boat and make everyone happy.
As advertised we were able to take a quick cab ride from cruise terminal to the CozumelH20 site. We got a single VAN type cab for the 7 of us. Cost $20 for all with tip. There were a couple of cabs at the dock when we returned. So getting back to port was easy.
Met at CozumelH20 at 10AM. Filled out some paper work and then we were off. Snorkel folks learned from their guide while Miguel covered intro to Scuba with the three of us “Scuba learners”. Stopped at first site to “test” scuba skill basics. It was a shallow area, just over our heads to test basics. From there took small ride to first dive site. And then to second site – Santa Rosa wall. It was a blast. Saw some great coral formations, a very long, bright green moray eel, a couple of the Eagle Rays, etc. I have snorkeled a bit in the Caribbean before, but scuba is much cooler – and less effort.
Miguel has a calm confidence that pulls you in. A good teacher that obviously enjoys what he is doing. He had us rookies diving in no time and was very patient. He let my son (the certified diver) explorer further a field than the rest of us, but kept an eye on him as well.
The snorkelers also told me that they had fun and saw lots of sea life. All thumbs up from what I can tell. My wife experienced some sea sickness while snorkeling (kind of strange since she never gets sea sick – but true). They made her comfortable on deck while the rest of us continued to dive.
Provided bottled water, fresh (very fresh – love the pineapple) fruit, and cake as snacks. I believe the cake may have cured my wife’s sea sickness.
If/when in Cozumel again, I would book a dive with CozumelH2O again. Great team spirit.

I like to snorkel, but I am always a little nervous about going since I am not a very good swimmer. However, I booked a private tour with Loes during a cruise on the Emerald Princess. This private tour was definitely the way to go. With only 5 people in my group, we had all the personal attention we could ask for. I can’t even begin to compare how much better this was than going on a cruise ship tour. (On the cruise snorkel tour that I took a year ago, I didn’t even get off the boat because there were probably 100 snorkelers on the boat, and I couldn’t find any staff available to response to my concerns.) Loes was so patient and helpful, and she provided a lot of great information about where we would be snorkeling and the fish and marine life that we would see. The purpose of our first stop was to make sure our equipment fit properly and be sure we were comfortable in the water. While doing this, we were also able to see hundreds of starfish laying in the sand. It was amazing. We stopped at 3 additional spots and Loes gave us options regarding where those stops would be. We saw so many beautiful fish as well as coral formations, sting rays, and eels. Loes evens dives down to point out things to you. I can’t say enough about how much fun this was. And even if you don’t take the private tour, I still recommend Cozumel H2O because the boats they use are small, so you will still get a lot of personal attention and have a fabulous day.
